
DART, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, anticipates spending $61 million of its expected ARRA moneys to fund a portion of the design and construction of the first two sections of the light rail Orange Line to Irving. DART's website includes the March 24, 2009 Board Chair Report, which outlines the proposed stimulus projects.
Also included on the website is DART's official April 4, 2009 Response to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Request for Certification, Transparency and Accountability Information under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority website includes a press release about the anticipated April groundbreaking on one of Ohio's first significant projects to benefit from ARRA funds, a new $9.6 million rail station. The website also includes a list of ARRA projects.
Chapter 17 of the MBTA's draft capital investment program
for FY09 – FY14 establishes the process for infusing
federal Stimulus Bill funds into the CIP, based on existing
knowledge of the program. It also provides a list of projects.
Miami-Dade County has established a Recovery website. It offers citizens a range of information about dealing with the economic crisis.
The website also includes summary information about eligible
projects, including transit projects.
A February 3, 2009 Crain's New York Business article states that a large amount of the MTA's expected $1.5 billion stimulus funding will be going to lower-profile projects that were cut for the authority's capital budget last summer.
As part of the New Jersey Department of Transportation's
ARRA 2009 website, approximately $425 million NJ TRANSIT projects
are identified.
SFMTA's website lists capital projects to be funded by
the agency's initial $67 million in ARRA funds. Information
about the status of SFMTA ARRA-funded projects, upcoming procurements,
and additional funding resources will be added to the site
as it becomes available.
SEPTA has created a website, SEPTA Building and Strengthening the Region, Public Transportation & Economic Stimulus. From the main page a list of projects and RFP and bid opportunity information is available.
The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon or TriMet is the Portland-area transit provider. It has set up a website to document how it is spending its expected $53.333 million ARRA funds.
On February 18, 2009 WMATA issued a press release about
its $230 million list of projects presented to the The National
Capital Region Transportation Planning Board for inclusion
in the region's six-year transportation improvement program.
All of the projects are linked to Metro's strategic goals
of delivering quality service, improving reliability, using
resources wisely and ensuring safety.
On January 8, 2009, the WMATA Board took action to endorse
a $529 million economic stimulus project list.
